What is semantic HTML?

Semantic HTML is a style of coding and it  is the use of HTML markup to reinforce the semantics or meaning of the content. In semantic HTML, <b> </b> tag is not used for bold statement and <i> </i> tag is not used for italic. Instead of using this, we can use <strong></strong> and <em></em> tags.
